This is just a short service announcement to combat the false news reports of restrictions to cross the border. In short, everything is the same as it has been for the last several years. You DO NOT NEED A PASSPORT IF YOUR ARE DRIVING OVRE THE BORDER. and YOU WILL NOT NEED A TRAVEL visa to cross the border for day trip, medical and dental appointment, and so on. A travel visa has ALWAYS been required for extended trips into Mexico, if you state this at the border as you cross.
